Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Helicopter…
Here are photos of the pre-production helicopter flying around downtown Chicago yesterday April 21st.

I saw the helicopter around 6pm and found it strange for a helicopter to be so low–and entirely black. When it reappeared an hour later, it swooped back and forth and weaved through buildings. Of course something wasn’t right. Then it dawned: The Dark Knight was being filmed!
The chopper did a series of hard rolls, turns, and while it spent most of its time in the Loop where the Gotham National Bank robbery was being filmed, it also explored the downtown area, finally landing (I think) where Meigs Field used to be, on the lakefront, East of Solder Field.
I also got pictures of the Post Office (now the Gotham National Bank) with the school bus inside, but I’ve seen similar pics online, so…
